2023 Faculty of Science Honours Fest

Honours Fest is a conference-style poster session that showcases outstanding undergraduate research in the Faculty of Science. Students, faculty members, alumni, and guests will come together to celebrate and learn from 70+ emerging researchers.

Honours Fest was born out of the belief that the capstone of any undergraduate degree is taking on original research. Students performing the research and then explaining their work to a general audience is a prime example of the integration of research and teaching missions in the Faculty of Science.

Each student’s project is the culmination of two semesters of gruelling work. Research and presentation skills with be put to the test by a panel of judges who will be awarding cash prizes to the top placing students, thanks to the generosity of Dr. Fritz Boehm.

We hope you can join us for all or part of this celebration of amazing student researchers!

Date: Thursday, March 2, 2023  

Time: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Doors at 2:30 p.m., refreshments at 4:00 p.m., and awards ceremony at 4:40 p.m.

Location: Michele Pujol Room, Student Union Building, University of Victoria

Cost: Free, but registration required.
