Lunch & Learn with Ann Livingston and Jeremy Kalicum

Harm Reduction and Saving Lives
More than 12,500 people have died in BC from toxic drugs since April 2016, when the government declared a public-health emergency. In this lunch & learn session, hear from two community organizers and activists who are on the front lines of social justice advocating for those most impacted by the toxic drug crisis. Honorary UVic Degree recipient and trailblazing community organizer Ann Livingston, along with UVic alum, activist and public health practitioner Jeremy Kalicum (MPH ’23) will discuss the work of drug user groups and allies in BC who are fighting for better drug policies and services, as well as the harm reduction methods that are saving lives amidst the ongoing crisis.
Register now to join us for this virtual presentation. Participants will have an opportunity to join the conversation in a dedicated Q&A session.
