Students enjoy one of the most exciting and immersive learning experiences at UVic when they participate in field schools through the School of Earth & Ocean Sciences. The great outdoors serves as the classroom for all three field schools where students examine Earth System Sciences by collecting, analysing, and interpreting real data. Off-campus experiential learning like this requires additional costs not found in normal university courses, including travel (vehicle rentals, fuel, ferry fares), accommodations, and field equipment.

Donation options:
SEOS Field School Fund: Donations to this fund support all students participating in the School of Earth & Ocean Sciences' field schools, by lowering the out-of-pocket fees they normally pay for transportation and accommodation.
SEOS Field School Award Endowment: Donations will fund financial awards for academically outstanding students in each of the field schools run by the School of Earth & Ocean Sciences.
