UVic Alumni at Web Summit 2026

UVic Alumni Relations will be at Web Summit 2026 in Vancouver. From a pub night with alumni and students to casual coffee meetups, there are plenty of ways to connect whether you live in Vancouver or are visiting for the summit. 

Coffee Meetups – May 12 & 13 (daytime)

Take a break from the summit and drop in for a casual coffee chat.

UVic Alumni Relations is hosting a series of informal, drop-in coffee meetups just steps from the Vancouver Convention Centre during Web Summit Vancouver 2026. Whether you're attending the conference, working nearby, or simply in the area, you’re welcome to stop by.

Join members of the Alumni Relations team, Gina Wheatcroft and Kate Hollefreund, for a coffee and a treat, on us. Stay for a quick chat or settle in for a bit of co-working.

Please register for one or more sessions you anticipate attending. It helps us plan, and if you find yourself nearby last minute, feel free to drop in and say hi.

Vancouver Alumni & Co-op Student Pub Night

Join fellow alumni and current co-op students in Vancouver for a relaxed evening of connection and conversation.

In addition to fellow alumni and current students, you’ll meet members of the UVic community, including Alumni Relations, Co-operative Education (Faculty of Engineering & Computer Science and Gustavson School of Business), Vancouver Alumni Network volunteers, and more.

Time: 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. PT
Welcome remarks at 6:15 p.m.; arrive whenever it suits you (last call at 8:00 p.m.)
Location: Mahony's Tavern, Vancouver, BC
