HSD: Students with Lived Experience in Care

Student Affairs

By supporting students with lived experience in care* your gift will assist in removing barriers for individuals whose economic and social circumstances normally pose obstacles to university education.

Tuition is just a portion of the expenses students face. Rent, groceries, books and other school supplies all add up. Many students with lived experience in care need to work multiple jobs in addition to their course loads to be able to cover their basic needs and the resources they need to pursue a university education.

Will you help us reach our goal to raise $3,000 for students with lived experience in care today?

*Youth in care is defined as someone who is currently or has received care from the Ministry of Children and Family Development or a Delegated Aboriginal Agency through the “Child, Family and Community Service Act” for a minimum of twelve months (consecutive or accumulated).
