UVic is home to one of the most unique and comprehensive theatre degrees in Canada. Our students gain a broad foundation of theatre arts through both academic studies and hands-on experiences. The creation of the mainstage season of plays, presented at the Phoenix Theatre, is an essential part of this curriculum and at the core of the department of theatre's educational philosophy: students learn by doing!
Your generous gift — no matter the size — contributes greatly to many of the costs of creating theatre and helps the department to maintain an ideal learning environment so that our students can experience all areas of theatre, from acting on stage, to the design, creation and management of sets, costumes, props, sounds, and lighting.
