Swirl, Sip and Learn with Mission Hill
The UVic Alumni Association is excited to invite alumni to a unique virtual event experience.
Register now to join us on November 18 for a virtual winery tour and a live tasting experience with Mission Hill, and we will ship your tasting package right to your door!
Following the tour and tasting, alumni will learn about the inspiration behind the wine at a live-streamed innovation master class with Mission Hill creator, Anthony von Mandl, founder and CEO of the Mark Anthony Group of Companies. The live Q&A will bring this legendary Canadian entrepreneur to life as he receives the 2021 Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year Award, an annual recognition of extraordinary and inspiring innovators that is proudly offered by UVic’s Gustavson School of Business.
Tickets to join this exclusive event are available now: each $35 ticket includes the virtual tour, guided tasting, two bottles of Mission Hill wine and the live-streamed Q&A.
Participants will be tasting two selections from the Reserve Collection – Pinot Gris and Meritage. Curated especially for you, the UVic Alumni Association is pleased be able to offer this tasting experience at a discounted price for our alumni.
Space is limited and registration is only open until October 29. Tickets are only available to UVic alumni; limit of one registration per household. We hope you will join us to swirl, sip and learn together!

What is the Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year Award? Since 2004 the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria has been recognizing inspirational individuals who have had a significant and positive impact on society and showcase entrepreneurial excellence, leadership, and innovation.
Anthony Von Mandl, founder and CEO of the Mark Anthony Group of Companies, is the 2021 recipient of the prestigious award, joining a distinguished group of past recipients including Sue Paish, David Foster and Chip Wilson. Von Mandl founded the Mark Anthony Group, an international drinks company whose hallmarks include a portfolio of luxury wineries and iconic beverage brands including Mike’s Hard Lemonade and White Claw that have transformed the beverage alcohol industry in Canada and the United States.
