Networking and career decisions can be paralyzing thoughts to any student when thinking about life after graduation. That’s where University of Victoria alumni with successful and rewarding careers can help!

Take part in our UVic Discovery Café program and help two UVic students by:

 

  • Sharing information about what it’s like to work in your profession/company/industry.
  • Inspiring a future UVic graduate by telling your story of your career path and success.

 

By participating in this and new UVic alumni mini-mentoring opportunity, you agree to meet-up and lead a friendly conversation with two students/new grads to help with their career decision-making.

Take part in our UVic Discovery Café program and
along with another UVic student/new grad, connect
with a UVic alumna/us to:

 

  • Learn from their career and life experiences.
  • Practice your Networking to Work workshop skills.*
  • Ask career questions to help with your career
    decision-making.

* All students must complete the UVic Co-op and Career
Services workshop “Network to Work” PRIOR to participating

Student Prerequisite Info

The UVic Discovery Café is being delivered by the UVic Alumni Association through the UVic Alumni Relations department. The program is available for all UVic alumni, students and new grads (up to 2 years after graduation). UVic Discovery Café questions can be directed to Linda Nicoll, Manager, Student and Alumni Programs, UVic Alumni Relations.
